Toyota's Top Manufacturing Leader to Discuss Plans to Bring New Technology and New Vehicles to Market

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Motor Press Guild (MPG), the largest automotive media association in North America, is pleased to announce that Steve St. Angelo, Global Managing Officer and Executive Vice President for Toyota manufacturing in North America, will be the featured speaker at MPG's next meeting on Tuesday, September 13 at the historic Toyota Automobile Museum in Torrance, Calif. The event is open to the public as well as Motor Press Guild members.

St. Angelo, who first joined Toyota as Vice President of Manufacturing at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky Inc. (TMMK) in 2005, will discuss Toyota's forecast for the U.S. economy and automotive industry and provide more details on the 20 new products Toyota will introduce between now and the end of 2013, including six hybrids and two electric vehicles.

The Toyota Automobile Museum features Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars and trucks dating back to 1958, along with more than a dozen historic racing vehicles.Amongst the featured vehicles are the first Toyota sold in America, the 1967 2000GT from the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice", championship-winning race cars and various serial No. 1 Toyotas marking the official launches of production at various plants.
