WASHINGTON, Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Park Service and the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks, announced today that President George W. Bush and Vice President Joe Biden will speak at the September 10 dedication ceremony of the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. President Bush and Vice President Biden, who was previously announced, will join Flight 93 family members and friends, special guests and dignitaries including former First Lady Laura Bush, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis, and Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett, among others. Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan will perform at the ceremony.

Above all, the anniversary of 9/11 is a day to remember those we lost, and to stand with their families and loved ones. The Flight 93 Memorial dedication event will pay tribute to the lives of those who were taken from us on 9/11, and reaffirm that their legacy is a safer, stronger, and resilient America. In addition to the dedication ceremony, the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks will be observed at the Flight 93 National Memorial on the morning of September 11, 2011, beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. The memorial service will take place at the newly-opened memorial plaza surrounding the site where Flight 93 crashed at 10:03 a.m. on September 11, 2001.
