WHO: Peapod is celebrating its 20 millionth delivery by coordinating hunger-relief efforts in the communities it serves.
WHAT: Peapod is bringing a truck filled to the brim with much needed shelf-stable food to the Food Depository as well as 25 volunteers including Peapod founders Andrew & Thomas Parkinson.

WHY: The Census Bureau reported last week that the number of Americans in poverty jumped to 15.1 percent in 2010, a17-year high. About 46.2 million people, or nearly 1 in 6, were in poverty. That's up from 43.6 million, or 14.3 percent, in 2009. It was the highest level since 1983.
