LAS VEGAS, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Matthews Marking Products introduces a new high resolution printer that meets the market requirements and demands of today and into the future. The new PC-based print control module, with a large, color, touch screen interface, runs on a real-time operating system and provides standard integration to plant databases. The system is scalable, having the ability to control one or as many printheads as required, for single-source control over multiple production lines or groups. This new high-speed printing solution, along with iDSnet code management software, provides intelligent coding solutions for your operations, and gives a complete window into plant marking and coding operations.
Matthews Marking Products will also be demonstrating various other marking technologies at Pack Expo Las Vegas, including:
I-Mark' Drop-On-Demand large character inkjet printers. A proven, reliable, and robust technology that can produce character sizes from 3/32" to 5", at speeds up to 780 feet per minute. Matthews' innovative valve technology outperforms the competition sixfold, meaning fewer repairs and maintenance, and the ink options include a rainbow of colors, both dye-based and pigmented, as well as custom designed inks for your specific requirements.
Continuous inkjet printers. The large, icon-based, color touch screen interface and single button controls for startup/shutdown make the C84+ the most simple and easy to use CIJ printer on the market. The printer also features a robust, self-cleaning printhead, and has 4-line printing capability.
Thermal transfer overprinters. High-speed, high-resolution printing of variable text, serial numbers, linear and 2D barcodes, and graphics make thermal transfer printers ideal when your product requires a crisp, legible mark of the highest quality. The Swing is used for marking onto flexible packaging materials, such as paper or plastic film. The Coditherm, with its patented design, is used for marking rigid and semi-rigid materials. The choice of thermal ribbon colors and styles is quite extensive, and includes pigmented, metallic, and specialty ribbons for security and anti-counterfeiting.
Laser coding systems. Matthews offers a complete line of CO2 and fiber laser coding systems to suit your marking and coding needs. Our lasers are designed to fit a number of industrial and packaging applications, whether you need to mark in static or continuous mode, and onto a variety of materials, such as glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, foils, coated metals, and building materials. Laser coding doesn't involve any inks or chemicals, making it a very clean, environmentally-friendly and cost-efficient method of marking your product.
