IndiaMART.com to Give Away Rs. 1 Lakh to Best Idea for its Next TV Commercial

NEW DELHI, October 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --

  • Launches first-of-its-kind 'Win Big' contest inviting ideas to develop a TV commercial
  • Winning script entitled to a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh
  • Last date for submission of entries is October 23, 2011
  • TVC to be a part of IndiaMART.com's next brand campaign early next year

IndiaMART.com, India's largest online B2B marketplace, is known for its out-of-the-box initiatives and ideas. In its first-of-its-kind campaign, IndiaMART.com has decided to bring in participation from all quarters for its first ever Television commercial (TVC). Inviting creatives for the same, IndiaMART.com has launched a 'Win Big' contest in search of the best idea for TVC. The winner of this contest will be entitled for a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. Apart from this, top 10 shortlisted scripts will also receive exciting prizes. This TVC will be launched nationally as part of the company's 360 degree brand campaign early next year.

Announcing the launch of this unique initiative, Mr. Dinesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO, IndiaMART.com, said, "We believe hosting a contest for our new TVC will be the best way to access fresh and creative concepts from talented individuals. We are optimistic of this entire exercise and hope to engage as many participants as possible. We also hope that through this contest we will be able to zero down on that winning script that will hit the TV screens next year."

Through this contest, the company is looking for a creative meant for an ad film (TVC) that focuses on brand IndiaMART. The creative needs to make a connect (humorous or emotional) with our audience/clients (small and medium enterprise). Some of the parameters that need to be adhered to by the participants are - duration of the script should not be more than 30 seconds, language of the script can be a mix of Hindi and English or Hindi only, the entries should also contain tag line which best signifies the line of business IndiaMART.com is into. Moreover, the key highlight of the contest is that it is open to one and all and is not restricted to 'one script for one person'. Anyone who is brimming with ideas and has more than one script to share can send in as many entries as he/she likes. In past we have had our TVCs for shows like 'Emerging Business Forum with Zee Business', 'We the SME with NDTV Profit' and 'IndiaMART Leaders of Tomorrow Show with ET NOW'. This is for the first time a TVC will be launched as a part of our brand campaign.

The contest promises to give away some amazing prizes for those who make it to Top 10. Incase none of the shortlisted scripts make it to the television, then Rs. 1 lakh shall be divided equally amongst the Top 10. The last date of submission is slated to be October 23, 2011.
