About the Speakers:

Tara K. Giunta
Tara Giunta is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Paul Hastings. She has extensive experience advising companies in various industries, particularly sensitive sectors, such as technology, telecommunications, health care, defense, and more. Ms. Giunta earned a J.D. from Columbus School of Law, Catholic University and a B.A. from Tufts University, cum laude, in 1980. Ms. Giunta has been ranked in the 2008 and 2009 editions of Chambers. Ms. Giunta is current co-chair of the Compliance Committee of the Board, and is legal counsel to the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC). She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania.

Robert B. Shanks
Robert Shanks is Vice President, Legal, International and Washington Operations at Raytheon Company. His responsibilities include overseeing international legal and regulatory compliance and providing international legal expertise across the Company's six operating businesses. He also oversees legal operations for Raytheon's foreign subsidiaries and international offices. Mr. Shanks joined Raytheon in 2003 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Raytheon Technical Services Company. Mr. Shanks graduated from Brown University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, in 1972 and from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Virginia Law Review, in 1975. He currently serves on the Board of the International Law Institute.

Julia C. Symon
Julia Symon is Director of Compliance at KBR Inc. She formerly served as Counsel at Clifford Chance. Ms. Symon attended Tulane University Law School and Tufts University, from where she earned a B.A. in Political Science.
