Belmont Village Senior Living to Open First Arizona Community

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Belmont Village Senior Living has opened an information center on the site of the company's first Arizona community, now under construction at 13850 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale. Belmont Village currently operates 20 senior living communities in six states. The newly opened center is staffed seven-days-a-week to provide reservation information and details about the care and amenities available for residents in early in 2012 when this latest project is completed. Belmont Village Scottsdale will offer Assisted Living and Alzheimer's care, as well as a range of dedicated, award-winning programs designed to maintain memory and mental acuity.

"As a developer and provider of senior living, we focus our efforts in two essential ways. First by listening to our residents and being responsive in providing the safety, comfort and support they need; and second, by keeping abreast of important research findings in key areas for resident health and quality of life, which we then integrate into our enrichment programs," said Patricia Will, Belmont Village founder and CEO. "Our residents and families trust us to provide a comfortable, safe place to live. We take that seriously, and we go a step further, by creating a dynamic environment where they can also thrive."

Belmont Village received a 2011 George Mason University Health Care Quality Improvement Award for its work in identifying and addressing issues of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) in its residents. The Scottsdale community will offer three distinct memory programs, including MBA Club®, to help active residents maintain mental and physical fitness; Circle of Friends® to help boost cognitive reserve in residents with MCI; and Person-Centered Living® a dedicated program for Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Belmont Village also offers a continuum of care with licensed nurses on-site around-the-clock. As part of Belmont's Diabetes Center of Excellence program, nurses undergo specialized training to ensure consistent monitoring and increased awareness of signs that may indicate a change in condition. A licensed nurse manages medications, including insulin.

"It's important to provide the right care so that residents can be as independent as possible," said Sharlene Gephart, RN, regional vice president, resident care services. "Many times our residents just need a little extra support to help them remain active. Bottom line, our residents and families say they feel more comfortable knowing that a nurse is there."

About Belmont Village Scottsdale:

When completed, Belmont Village Scottsdale will house 138 individual residences, 25 of which will be dedicated for Alzheimer's care. Plans include one-bedroom and studio apartment units. The fee structure is month-to-month, with no buy-in required. Lifestyle amenities in the contemporary Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired building include a technology center with Wi-Fi access, a professionally managed exercise center with access to therapy services, meeting and common areas, a swimming pool and outdoor areas. Hospitality and dining services will include chef-prepared meals with over 24 daily menu choices, a bistro for casual dining, concierge and transportation services. Prior to opening, Belmont Village will apply for licensure as an assisted living facility, authorized to provide directed care services.

Belmont Village Senior Living is an integrated developer, owner and operator of senior living communities in California, Greater Chicago and the Southern U.S. For information about Belmont Village Scottsdale, please call 480-945-3600 or visit the information center located at 13850 N. Favoritenwechsel - diese 5 Werte sollten Anleger im Depot haben!
