WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features the school in the new 2012 edition of its book, The Best 294 Business Schools.

The W&M School of Business is one of 67 schools (22% of the 294) that appear on one or more of the book's ranking lists. The School was ranked in the top five in the country in the following categories:

  • Best Professors - #3
  • Best Campus Facilities - #2 for Alan B. Miller Hall
  • Most Family Friendly - #5

"Our goal is to make our students' educational experience the best it can be, and this is strong affirmation that we are succeeding. The caliber and talent of our faculty and their commitment to our students make for a uniquely valuable core in management education. Add a supportive staff and culture and a top-notch facility, and you have a winning combination," said Dean Lawrence B. Pulley.

The rankings categories cover topics that prospective applicants might want to know or would ask during a campus visit. In the "Best Professors" ranking, faculty were rated on their teaching and accessibility outside of class while students were asked to rate the quality of the classrooms and the learning environment for the "Best Campus Facilities" ranking. And in the "Most Family Friendly" category, students were asked to rank the school on how helpful the school is to students with children, and also how much the school does for spouses of students.

The Princeton Reviews ranked 294 business schools in 11 categories. The rankings are posted at www.PrincetonReview.com.
