NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mohegan Sun kicked off its 15th anniversary celebration weekend by honoring Regis Philbin, an American original who has spent the last half-century entertaining us all.
A special "Tribute to Regis Philbin" took place in the Uncas Ballroom, with red-carpet appearances by such stars as Susan Lucci, Vincent Piazza, Tinsley Mortimer, Hugo Becker, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel and others. A subsequent late-night party in the nightclub Ultra 88 raised the noise level, with a special appearance by MTV's "The Jersey Shore" castmates Ronnie, Sammi, and Deena.
The weekend celebration continues at Mohegan Sun Saturday night with a sold-out special concert by the sensational Jennifer Lopez. Celebrities expected include Glee's Lea Michele, Terrence Howard, Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo, Donnie Wahlberg, Kenny Wormald, Jaime Pressly, Maria Menounos, Jesse Metcalfe, Hugo Becker, Tinsley Mortimer and Kelly Bensimon. On Saturday there will be appearances and book signings by renowned Chefs, Bobby Flay and Todd English, So You Think You Can Dance's Mary Murphy, Buddy Valastro, The Cake Boss and others. DJ Kiss will headline a star-studded after party in Mohegan Sun's newest restaurant and lounge, Ballo.
