TULSA, Okla., Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Omni Air International (Omni) places its first B767-200ER into service.

Omni continues to expand its commercial fleet by placing the first of two late production (2001 built) Boeing 767-200ER aircraft into service. These aircraft are equipped with Boeing's 777 style interior in a comfortable two-class (first and economy) configuration with all leather seat covers. Passenger comfort is enhanced with individual seat controlled entertainment and other modern amenities. "The B767-200ER offers impressive seat cost economics and provides incredible range for non-stop flight capabilities," said Robert Jared, Omni's Senior Director of Business Planning and Strategy.

The B767-200ER joins Omni's fleet of Boeing 757-200ER, 767-300ER and 777-200ER aircraft to provide an even broader capability of payload and range. "We are proud to offer our worldwide customers modern, fuel efficient transportation that is right sized to meet their needs through our robust fleet" said Jeff Crippen, Omni's President and CEO. Omni's personnel have successfully placed the aircraft into commercial service, including 180-Minute ETOPS certification.

Our current fleet can offer passenger configurations as high as 400 seats with impressive non-stop range capability," said Sean Ralson, Omni's Director of Commercial Sales and Marketing.

Omni, based in Tulsa, OK, is an FAA Part 121 certificated, non-scheduled airline, IOSA registered. Omni's customer base includes US and international governments, airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, athletic organizations and large corporations.
