Switch2Health Named 2011 Early Stage Company of the Year

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J., Nov. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Switch2Health (S2H) was named Early-Stage Company of 2011 by the New Jersey Technology Council. Seth A. Tropper, president and CEO of S2H, accepted the award at the NJTC Awards Gala held at the Addison Park in Aberdeen on Nov. 17.

"I am honored to receive this award and to be recognized by such a prestigious organization as the NJTC," said Tropper. "The NJTC Gala Award is a great tribute to all the hard work by the team at S2H as we continue to grow the company, and make a positive impact on the lives of many people around the globe."

S2H promotes wellness in the business community and individually by motivating, educating and rewarding people for healthy living. In addition to being named Early Stage Company of the Year, S2H recently launched its corporate wellness initiative (The S2H Challenge) with programs at Starbucks, National Semiconductor and Cardinal Health. Employees are joining teams, accepting challenges, earning points, and being rewarded for healthy activity.

"At a time where healthcare costs are skyrocketing, companies are feeling that pain," said Tropper. "The S2H Challenge is an innovative and affordable way for corporations to get their employees moving, slash healthcare costs, increase employee morale, and create healthy competition within the company."

David J. Sorin, CPA, Esq., co-managing partner of law firm SorinRoyerCooper LLC, and emcee of the Technology Industry Awards at the Gala, offered his kudos to client S2H. "SorinRoyerCooper congratulates Seth Tropper and the entire team for its vision and successful implementation of the company's strategy, from concept to commercialization. The recognition is well deserved and we applaud S2H for its growing list of accomplishments."

The annual NJTC Awards Gala recognizes the region's most innovative technology companies and their leaders. This year's event also celebrated the NJTC's 15th anniversary. "We are so pleased to honor Seth Tropper and Switch2Health at the NJTC Gala Awards. Seth and his team have worked very hard to make S2H a successful company," said Maxine Ballen, founder and CEO of the NJTC.
