GILBERT, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 11/28/11 -- Gilbert-resident, PGA professional and world-renowned golf trick shot artist, Craig Hocknull, has advanced to the final stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament by finishing in a five-way tie for 20th place at the second stage in McKinney, TX. The six-round final stage will be held at PGA West's Nicklaus Tournament Course and TPC Stadium Course in La Quinta, California from November 30th through December 5th. Upon entering the final stage, Hocknull has earned conditional Nationwide Tour status and also re-earned a full Canadian Tour card while pursuing full PGA Tour membership.
The PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament's final stage consists of second stage winners and players who received exemptions into the final stage. The top 25 players, plus ties, of the final stage earn PGA Tour cards for the following year. The next 50 players, plus ties, after the top 25 earn Nationwide Tour cards for the following year, and any remaining finishers receive conditional status on the Nationwide Tour.
