Kids' Favorite Grapple Oven Pancake | ||
6 eggs | ||
1 1/2 cups milk | ||
1 cup all-purpose flour | ||
3 tbsp. sugar | ||
1/2 tsp. salt | ||
1/3 cup butter | ||
2 Grapples, peeled and sliced | ||
3 tbsp. brown sugar | ||
1/2 tsp cinnamon | ||
1/4 tsp nutmeg | ||
Juice of1/2 lemon | ||
Powdered sugar for serving | ||
Preheat oven to 425 degreesF. | ||
In a blender, mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and salt. Put butter in baking dish and place | ||
dish in oven until butter is melted. Mix Grapple slices with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown | ||
sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Add Grapple slices to baking dish and leave in oven | ||
until butter sizzles. This can take about 5 minutes. Do not let apples brown. Remove | ||
baking dish from oven and pour batter over Grapples. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Return | ||
to oven and bake 20 minutes or until browned. Serve immediately. | ||
Grapple Apple Rings | ||
4 medium unpeeled Grapples, cored but left whole | ||
1/4 cup peanut butter | ||
1-1/2 teaspoons honey | ||
1/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips | ||
2 tablespoons dried cranberries | ||
In a small bowl, combine peanut butter and honey; fold in chocolate chips and cranberries and mix well. | ||
