'Baywatch' Actress Brings Hollywood to Lake Tahoe With Savvy New Real Estate Video

LAKE TAHOE, Calif., Dec. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --For many years, the real estate industry has tried to go Hollywood through reality TV, online streaming and other mediums. Now, one director has taken it a step further.

Award-winning director Christian Calderon, blending artistrywith the marketing of real estate, has launched a new concept in real estate videos -the industry's first short film featuring a Hollywood actress. Calderon is a well-known director of commercials, Television Promos, and Music Videos.

"My goal is to bring a level of entertainment toshowcasea property so it will stand out," says Mr. Calderon. "And in the end, sell faster."

And according to Calderon, the whole concept of producing shorts for real estate using an actress with a platform, rather than a realtor, also increases the chance of the piece going viral and gaining more exposure.

In this case, actress Melissa Biggs, formerly of Baywatch and a Sports Illustrated Spokes-model, was chosen for her international appeal to expand the property's exposure to places like Australia where according to reports, Australians are the largest foreign tourists traveling to California and making real estate purchases.

In the video, Biggs makes a cameo appearance and stays the weekend at an exclusive home that happens to be on the market and gives the audience a personal guided tour while there.

The clip will air on select real estate television channels for a limited time and can now be viewed at www.509lodgepoledrive.com - The address of the home.

"I love being a part of something new and innovative," says Biggs, "and the property really is incredible and deserves to be shown in a very upscale way."

"Melissa has all the traits and characteristics of what we were looking for to promote this property - class, beauty, and elegance," Calderon says. "She brings a fresh approach to the old way of showcasing a property."

The property's owner couldn't agree more. "The reaction and traffic we've had immediately as a result of Melissa's participation has been incredible," said Ruth Esbin-Greer. "I really see it as a new media for real estate sales."

The property, listed at $2.4 million, is described as a 4,200-square-foot masterpiece home that sits on half an acre in one of the most premiere places to live in Tahoe, Incline Village. The home boasts an incredible 180-degree view of all of Lake Tahoe, and is the main focal point of the video.

Biggs, who recently became engaged to commercial real estate developer and former professional volleyball player, Roger Clark - the two are getting married next May on the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy - takes real estate sales to a new level.

Melissa Biggs (www.melissabiggs.com) is an actress, international model, spokesperson and entrepreneur. In addition to two seasons on the worldwide hit Baywatch, Biggs has made cameo appearances in several feature films and has appeared on TV's "The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Collection" and is currently working on "The Light of Africa," a series she will star in alongside renowned artist, Thomas Kinkade.
