Yesterday CLC bio was awarded an export award at the annual IVÆKST award show in Copenhagen. CLC bio's two founding brothers, CEO Thomas Knudsen and CSO Bjarne Knudsen, won the "Conqueror" award on the basis of demonstrating export success with 98% of the annual revenue coming from outside the Danish territory.
The Mayor of Aarhus, Jacob Bundsgaard, states, "CLC bio is an inspiring example of a progressive Aarhus company which has developed from the local academic environment into a market leading international company in only 6 years of existence. Winning the national IVÆKST export award is well deserved and motivating to all the high-tech and knowledge-based companies from the Aarhus region, as well as all of Denmark."
CEO at CLC bio, Thomas Knudsen, continues, "Since we started CLC bio in 2005, we have focused on servicing the global research community, therefore, export has been our core sales strategy from the very start. To experience how our successful strategy has led CLC bio to grow every year is rewarding in itself, but of course we - and the whole team at CLC bio - are extremely proud of the national recognition we get with this award!"
The Danish private initiative IVÆKST is an independent organization backed by several companies, including Deloitte, Google, Dana, and Mamut. Since 2008, IVÆKST has recognized yearly the most promising up and coming Danish companies across all business sectors.
The goal of IVÆKST's award is to encourage Danish companies and entrepreneurs by focusing on the inspiring success stories in Denmark. The name "IVÆKST" directly translates to "In Growth" in English.
