Nexon's cruise ship simulation game enters open beta testing phase
Nexon America is inviting all would-be sea captains aboard "Wonder Cruise," a cruise ship simulation game that lets players don a captain's hat and man the helm as they make their way across the open ocean. Developed by Thingsoft, "Wonder Cruise" is now officially in its open beta phase and is the third title in Nexon's portfolio of Facebook games.
Wonder Cruise plays like a traditional simulation game that also captures the spirit of running a luxury cruise ship. By keeping passengers comfortable and entertained, players can unlock choice destinations across the globe, opening up new and exciting locales for guests to enjoy.
Captains can accumulate gold while they entertain and charm their guests, which can be used to expand the ship and make improvements. As players level up, shops, casinos, pools, bars, restaurants and more will become progressively available for passengers to wine, dine and spoil themselves as they traverse the open sea. This tycoon system lets players harvest the income from the facilities which ultimately unlock more advanced onboard features.
Using an energy system, players may complete quests which award them with gold and goods as they continue to ramp up nautical mileage. Wonder items, which include landmarks from around the world, are the most prestigious items a captain can place aboard the ship, attracting even the most discriminating globetrotters to their mighty vessel. A seafarer's bounty will be bestowed once players complete their missions by arriving at exotic locations across the globe and adorning their ship with world treasures and exotic facilities.
"Wonder Cruise" will also feature a cash shop which lets players use Facebook Credits to purchase items that enhance their gaming experience, which includes unique ship decorations and items that aid in transoceanic voyages. Additional updates, including in-game content and new cash shop items, will continually be added to the game throughout its open beta phase.
