Two Board Members Re-elected

Members re-elect Longmuir, Dail to three-year terms

CARMEL, Ind., Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator Inc. (MISO) today announced that its members have re-elected two current Board Members, Shelley A. Longmuir and Baljit "Bal" Dail. Longmuir joined the Board in 2006 and Dail joined the MISO Board in 2009. Both will begin new three-year terms beginning in January 2012.

Longmuir is an attorney and independent consultant who advises an international client base on regulatory, legal and legislative strategies affecting the global distribution of goods and services. She is the former president and chief executive officer of the National Business Aviation Association; former senior vice president of international, regulatory and government affairs for the UAL Corporation; and she has served in a key advisory capacity at the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

As chair of the MISO Board's Human Resources Committee, Longmuir oversees the company's human resources policies and procedures, including activities related to recruiting, retention and training of employees.

Dail is co-Chief Executive Officer of Aon Hewitt with shared responsibility for leading strategy, client solution design and operations while also overseeing the company's consulting business line.He is an executive with a range of experience in several industries, including financial services, telecommunications, high-tech and retail, and was selected as one of Consulting Magazine's 2010 Top 25 Consultants of the Year.

As a member of the MISO Board's Audit & Finance Committee, Dail exercises oversight responsibility for the company's budget, financial performance and all internal and external audits. In addition, Dail exercised oversight responsibility in reviewing the plans and budget for the construction of two new data centers to replace MISO's existing facilities as well as the plans and budget for the information technology equipment in the new data centers.
