MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 12/15/11 -- NEVADO RESOURCES CORPORATION (TSX VENTURE: VDO)(FRANKFURT: NSV) (the "Company" or "NEVADO") is pleased to announce the completion of the second major helicopter-supported diamond drilling campaign at the Company's wholly-owned La Blache Iron-Titanium-Vanadium Project (the "Project").
The campaign totalled 12,603 metres in 36 drill holes covering 6 targets divided as follows:
1. Delineation drilling (6,843 metres / 13 holes) at the 1,500 metres by
550 metres by 115 metres Farrell-Taylor Occurrence; where NEVADO already
drilled 9,618 metres in 32 holes along the western segment of the
occurrence during the winter 2011 drill campaign;
2. Drilling (808 metres / 3 holes) the 4,000 metres by 2,000 metres strong
magnetic anomaly of the La Blache West / Tarbouche Occurrence;
3. Drilling (2,169 metres / 6 holes) the 800 metres by 800 metres potential
target at the Farrell-Mason Occurrence;
4. Drilling (1,806 metres / 9 holes) the Leduc-Farrell Occurrence along the
Prospector Lake segment of the La Blache Ring of Iron-Titanium-Vanadium;
5. Drilling (743 metres / 4 holes) the Hervieux East Extension Occurrence
along the northern segment of the La Blache Ring of Iron-Titanium-
Vanadium 3 kilometres west of the Farrell-Taylor Occurrence;
6. Drilling (234 metres / 1 hole) the E. Girard Occurrence along the
western segment of the La Blache Ring of Iron-Titanium-Vanadium.
All assay results are currently pending.
NEVADO has now completed 68 diamond drill holes totalling 22,221 metres on the Project, of which 45 holes for 16,461 metres were drilled at the most extensive oxides mineralization found to date at the highly prospective Farrell-Taylor Occurrence.
Management believes these is sufficient drilling at the Farrell-Taylor Occurrence to complete NI 43-101 mineral resource estimates of the entire massive and disseminated Iron, Titanium and Vanadium oxides mineralization package as well as a preliminary economic assessment. In addition, NEVADO and its partner Neomet Technologies Inc. are nearing completion of the second stage metallurgical test work.
