WHAT: | To celebrate the holiday season, four ice artists will create a giant 2,500-pound, 10-foot-long penguin ice sculpture that will be on display at Penn's Landing for the festive week after Christmas and into the new year. The ice-sculpting artists will use chainsaws, handsaws, chisels, die grinders, irons and other power tools to carve the penguins from 16 blocks of ice each weighing approximately 300 pounds. The enormous ice masterpiece will draw visitors to Penn's Landing through January 3, weather permitting. |
