WASHINGTON, Jan. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council (FRC) and The Heritage Foundation, two leading public policy organizations, today announced a joint "Values Voter Bus Tour" that will hit the road this week to tell Americans about practical, conservative solutions to the most critical issues confronting the nation.

With a banner proclaiming "Your Money, Your Values, Your Vote," the custom-jacketed Values Voter Bus will roll onto the campus of the College of Charleston for its first event at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 outside TD Arena. Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to make remarks as she welcomes the rolling voter education and registration campaign to South Carolina. Also slated to speak are Family Research Council President Tony Perkins and Heritage President Ed Feulner.
During the joint project, expected to continue until the Nov. 6 elections, FRC will roll out its voter registration initiative and speak to critical values issues that must be addressed by the next president. Heritage will emphasize educating voters on restoring fiscal responsibility through its "Saving the American Dream" plan.

This first stop on the "Your Money, Your Values, Your Vote 2012" tour coincides with a meeting of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference and the presidential candidates debate that night sponsored by the SRLC and CNN at North Charleston Coliseum in advance of the South Carolina primary the following Saturday.
Early stops elsewhere by the Values Bus include Jan. 20 in West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Jan. 23 and Feb. 9 in Washington, D.C.; Jan. 26 in St. Louis, Mo.; and Feb. 16 in Nashville, Tenn.
