CEDAR HILL, Texas, Jan. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --On Tuesday, January 24th Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Cedar Hill will be donating 15% of the day's total sales to benefit the students of High Pointe Elementary School.

"We will use the money to further the efforts of High Pointe's PTA. We use all of the funds raised to benefit the children and school," said Veronica Hutchings, president of the PTA and mother of a 4th grader at High Pointe. "We will be giving scholarships to teachers this year so that they can fund some of the items on their wish lists, as well as helping to fund some of the school's Spring projects like, Field Day, Day at the Rangers Ballpark, and the school's lock in."
High Pointe Elementary School has been ranked as Recognized Elementary for the last 2 years. The community is encouraged to come to the Cedar Hill Dickey's in order to help the students of High Pointe receive programming and educational tools that will assist students for many years to come.
