Oncor announces winners of prestigious Omnis Award, Rising Star Award
Oncor recognized business partners and employees with our highest supplier diversity awards for their ongoing commitment to supplier diversity and involvement in local communities.
More than 200 business leaders and Oncor Supplier Diversity participants attended the event, which included remarks by Oncor Chief Operating Officer Jim Greer. In his keynote address about Oncor's long-term vision, Greer announced that Oncor's 2011 spend with minority and women-owned businesses increased 22 percent, totaling $167.6 million. He also explained how the work with our diverse partners continues to contribute to Oncor's goal of a cleaner, greener country.
"Our long-term company goal is to be a leader in making changes that will help our country become more energy-efficient and more cost-efficient in the near future," he said. "As our suppliers, you are part of the Oncor team – part of our team laying the groundwork for this future. The incredible and innovative things your companies are doing are collectively helping make Oncor a leader in our industry."

Lopez; Omnibound Technologies, accepted by President Leonardo Baron; Utility Support Systems, accepted by President Cathy Arnett and Worldwide Technology, accepted by Chairman David L. Steward.
The Corporate Rising Star Award was given to The TransSynergy Group and accepted by CEO Donna Hegdahl. Transynergy began working with Oncor in the past year and has shown a commitment to diversity in their business and community activities.
