CELEBRATION, Fla., April 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Fans of the movie Dumb & Dumber will get the chance to see the original "Mutt Cutts" van, alongside the Lamborghini from the film, at the 9th annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival in central Florida on April 14. Together for the first time since the filming in 1994, the cars will be part of the event's annual movie car display. Other movie cars appearing at the event include the Back to the Future DeLorean, the Cannonball Run Lamborghini, the 1966 Batmobile, the Star Wars Landspeeder, the Plymouth Fury from the Stephen King film Christine, Speed Racer's Mach V, the Flintstones car, and Herbie.
Benefitting children's charities, the four-day event was named "One of the 5 Best Exotic Car Shows in the World" by Made Man magazine. Participants and spectators will be able to see some of the world's most exotic cars, sample food from renowned celebrity chefs, rock out to a lakeside concert, and rub elbows with Hollywood actors including Luke Wilson (Old School), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore), Patrick Warburton (Rules of Engagement) and Lea Thompson (Back to the Future.)
Following 2 track days and Ferrari CCR races at Daytona International Speedway, 250 exotic cars from Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bugatti, McLaren, Lotus, Aston Martin and many others will be on display in downtown Celebration, Florida. The quaint town, adjacent to Walt Disney World, was developed by Disney in the 1990's and has hosted the event since 2004. The car show was attended by nearly 40,000 spectators in 2011. Admission is free for spectators.
The Festival's annual Food and Wine Party will be held following the show, when more than 50 local restaurants and renowned celebrity chef's join to prepare a world-class culinary extravaganza.
The event concludes on April 15th, with the festival's annual Exotic Car Road Rally.
Since 2004, nearly $800,000 has been donated to children's charities, including Make-a-Wish, Special Olympics and Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital, through the efforts of the event.
