Provides enhanced educational and networking opportunities with users and Oracle representatives
The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world's largest knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, co-hosts the COLLABORATE 12: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community conference in partnership with the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest), April 22-26, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
Keynote presenters include Captain Mark Kelly, commander of the space shuttle Endeavour's final mission, Mark Sunday, chief information officer and senior vice president of Oracle and Eric Sall, vice president, Product Marketing and Information Management at IBM.
COLLABORATE 12 provides members of the Oracle community numerous networking opportunities to further their professional development and to discuss areas of common interest with more than 5,000 knowledgeable peers and recognized subject matter experts. Networking activities include more than 50 OAUG Special Interest Group (SIG) and Geographic (Geo) meetings held throughout the conference, informal "pop-up" meetings in the OAUG Networking Zone, the popular Women in Technology Panel Discussion and a variety of social events. A new networking-by-topic feature offers attendees buttons with icons signifying the top conference subjects so they can easily spot and connect with others who share their interests.
Within 20 educational tracks, the COLLABORATE 12 – OAUG Forum offers more than 500 user-driven sessions regarding Oracle Fusion Applications, the Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle's PeopleSoft, Oracle's Agile, Oracle Hyperion Performance Management, Oracle's Siebel CRM and Oracle's Primavera Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) product families, all focused on practical ways to get more out of Oracle-related Applications. Conference attendees have access to more than 1,200 sessions presented by the three hosting users groups.
The Exhibitor Showcase has more than 250 organizations showcasing products and solutions that complement Oracle products; opportunities for additional learning with 30-minute presentations in the COLLABORATE Mini-Theater; networking during the opening welcome reception and the Exhibitor Showcase Happy Hour; challenges and prizes with OAUG THEgame; and the OAUG membership booth.
The "Go With the Flow" educational series returns with "Go With the Flow: Projects to Profit," a supplement to the financial management educational track. Jointly presented by the OAUG Assets, General Ledger (GL), Primavera, Procurement and Projects Special Interest Groups (SIGS), this special presentation offers a complete look at data flows between Oracle Financial Applications and Oracle Projects.
Oracle's involvement increases this year with six Oracle roadmap sessions designed to discuss product vision and strategies, Oracle usability feedback sessions designed for attendees to influence future products and solutions, the Oracle Validated Integration Lounge in the Exhibitor Showcase designed for users and vendors to learn why partner solutions integrated and validated by Oracle to help ensure more successful implementations and opportunities to meet with Oracle executives.
"COLLABORATE 12 offers a vital opportunity for applications users to train with Oracle representatives and noted industry experts, strengthen professional contacts and enhance their Oracle knowledgebase," said Mark Clark, president of the OAUG. "The conference provides quality education sessions that are only available at this event. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insight into the latest technology and applications features and learn about increasing efficiencies within their organizations."
