Money will help in relief efforts following the April 3 storms in Texas
JPMorgan Chase announced today it will donate $25,000 to the Dallas Chapter of the American Red Cross for relief efforts in the aftermath of multiple tornadoes that struck the Dallas/Fort Worth area on April 3.
The 15,000 Chase employees in North Texas are being encouraged to make donations and volunteer their time to local relief efforts. Most employees are eligible to have their donations matched by JPMorgan Chase, doubling the impact of their gift.
"The Dallas/Fort Worth area is very important to Chase. We want to contribute our time and our financial resources to helping our neighbors in this hour of need," said Elaine Agather, Chairman of JPMorgan Chase in Texas.
Chase is committed to helping customers recover from the storm. Customers in the affected areas who need help should contact Chase at 888-356-0023.
JPMorgan Chase and its Foundation have donated more than $800 million to nonprofit organizations over the last five years, with a particular focus on communities around the world devastated by catastrophic events.
If you would like to help people affected by this disaster, you can make a donation today to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief by visiting www.redcross.org or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
