Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. is providing free of charge, a financial planning clinic for Congressional staffers on Tuesday, April 17.
CFP® professionals will be on hand to provide free one-on-one personal finance advice with no strings attached. Attendees will be able to seek advice on a variety of topics, including budgeting, debt management, retirement planning, investment strategies, education funding, income tax planning, insurance, and mortgages, among many others.
The financial planning clinic is part of the 2012 Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill organized by the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. Honorary co-hosts for the Financial Literacy Day are U.S. Senators Daniel K. Akaka (D-HI), Thad Cochran (R-MS), Michael Enzi (R-WY), Kay Hagan (D-NC), and Jeff Merkley (D-OR).
Members of the public attending the 2012 Financial Literacy Day are also welcome to attend the financial planning clinic. Additional information and online registration is available at www.CFP.net/HillClinic. Walk-ins are also welcome.
