WHAT: | Rebuilding Together Greater Green Bay and local Sears volunteers will complete renovations on a home that was donated by Dick Resch, CEO of Green Bay contract furniture manufacturer, KI. The group will be joined by Congressman Reed Ribble, Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) Secretary John Scocos. The "KI Hope House," a once-vacant house on KI's property, will now serve as a home for a returning military service member and his or her family-a place that provides a warm, welcoming and safe transitional living space to a service member who works to successfully move forward within the Green Bay community. |
The home has received extensive renovations to ensure that it is a safe and healthy home for veterans in-need. Renovations include: new windows, electrical and plumbing upgrades, a new roof, and other critical upgrades to bring the home to a healthy standard of living. | |
