Monarch Village becomes Peninsula Del Rey
Senior Resource Group, LLC, (SRG) today announced it has assumed the management and operations of Monarch Village San Francisco in Daly City, Calif., and has changed the name of the 208-unit independent-living community to Peninsula Del Rey. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SRG renamed the community to better capture its geographic location, ambiance and surroundings and to convey uniqueness among the 17 other SRG properties. Opened in October 2011, Peninsula Del Rey serves seniors in the South San Francisco region. It is located at 165 Pierce Street in Daly City.
"While we've been serving seniors for more than 20 years, we are excited to provide this new, purpose-built community with the wide range of programs and resources that meet the individualized requirements of the local marketplace," said Michael Grust, SRG president & CEO. "With experience serving the Bay Area, we understand their needs and can deliver the exceptional service they deserve."
Taking over the management and operation of Peninsula Del Rey further solidifies SRG's market presence in California, giving the company a seventh property in the state along with seven in neighboring Arizona. This latest move is in keeping with SRG's blueprint for growth, a mix of development from the ground up, strategic acquisition and management.
