In just one week, two affordable homes will be built for families in Lawrence as the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity, professional home builder volunteers and building material donors including the Tapco Group® come together June 4th. The homes are part of a national Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz goal to build 250 homes in 25 states.

The Builders Blitz homes will be near seven other homes that Merrimack Valley Habitat has built, with another 10 more already planned in Lawrence. The two homes will be adjacent three-bedroom townhomes.
Leading the Blitz are: Howell Custom Building Group, Meadowview Construction, Cote & Foster Construction, Premier Builders, JSR Adaptive Energy Solutions and Correct Temp, Inc.
The Tapco Group is donating Foundry® premium vinyl siding to the Lawrence homes. Contributing to their low-maintenance and exterior appeal, Foundry Perfection Shingle siding in Weathered Grey will be installed. Tapco is also donating building materials to Blitz homes in Flint MI, Akron OH, and Wilmington NC.
"Transforming lives through home building is an exciting way to give back," says Jonathan Wierengo, vice president of marketing for The Tapco Group. "Merrimack Valley builders are stepping up with a great effort."
America's sixth largest builder, Habitat focuses on water and energy efficiency, safety and health, and materials conservation. Contributing to sustainability, recyclable Foundry siding contains 35 percent recycled content, has a limited lifetime warranty and needs no painting.
Tapco has experienced the power of community in similar initiatives. "When you see tears of joy from hardworking new homeowners, it's inspiring," says Kelly Warren, product manager.
