The Riu Palace Peninsula is one of RIU's new generation Palace properties, complete with modern decoration and architecture, world-class cuisine and 24-hour all-inclusive amenities. Also on site are Mayan ruins called Ta'acul, meaning "that which remains hidden." This archaeological discovery was recently excavated by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) with funding provided by RIU, who maintains and cares for the site.
