Members of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.'s Life Sciences Practice and Energy and Clean Technology Practice will be spearheading four panel discussions at the June 2012 Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) International Convention.
- Jonathan L. Kravetz, Chair of the firm's Securities Practice Group and Member of the Life Sciences Practice Group, will moderate a panel entitled, "Is that a Heartbeat? Taking the Pulse of the Current Financing Market" on Tuesday, June 19th. The panel is part of the convention's "Finance Track."
- Megan N. Gates, Co-Chair of the firm's Securities Practice Group and Member of the Life Sciences Practice Group, will participate in a panel discussion entitled, "The JOBS Act: Can it Get the Job Done for Emerging Biotech Companies?" on Thursday, June 21st. The panel is part of the convention's "Finance Track."
- Mark J. Riedy, a Member of the firm's Corporate & Securities Section and Energy & Clean Technology Practice, will moderate a panel entitled, "Financing Advanced Biofuels Integrated Biorefineries" on Tuesday, June 19th. The panel is part of the convention's "Biofuels & Biobased Chemicals Track." Mr. Riedy will also participate in a panel discussion entitled, "Investing in Private Companies to Bring New Technologies to Market" on Monday, June 18th.
- Tania Rodrigues Cleary, a Member of the firm's Life Sciences Practice Group, will moderate a panel entitled, "Best in Show: How to Maximize Your Company's Selling Potential" on Wednesday, June 20th. The panel is part of the convention's "Business Development Track."
The BIO International Convention is the largest event in the biotechnology industry bringing together global leaders in business, government and academia. The convention features hundreds of sessions covering biotech trends, policy issues and technical innovations. These sessions are led by key policy makers, scientists and CEOs who will share breakthroughs in medicine, diagnostics, the environment, energy production, business operations, financing, partnerships, policy issues and food and agriculture.
