HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 06/07/12 -- The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association, the area's leading marketing organization, announces its June Networking Luncheon, "OTC - Why Such a Great and Lasting Brand?" to be held at the Junior League of Houston on June 13.
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) was founded more than 40 years ago and today is recognized as the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources. Its impact in the oil & gas community, from drilling and exploration to production and environmental protection, has not only lasted, but in 2012 increased to a 30-year high attendance record of 89,400. Reliant Center was sold out with 2,500 companies represented, drawing tens of thousands of energy professionals to Houston from 46 countries. So how does a wide-reaching organization like OTC continue to make such an impact?
An OTC Board Member for the last three years, Helge Hove Haldorsen will explain how OTC has maintained and enhanced its position as the premier energy event in the world, and will share its plans to expand its worldwide footprint.
Haldorsen is currently the VP Strategy and Portfolio Development & Production North America for Statoil. He holds a PhD in Reservoir Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and has served on the Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE) Board of Directors for three years. Haldorsen has also been a SPE Distinguished Lecturer, and is the author of many technical papers and articles.
The luncheon will be held at the Junior League of Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks Lane, on June 13 at 11:30 a.m. Register online at www.regonline.com/amajun2012lunch by Tuesday, June 12 at 11 a.m.
