Serono Symposia International Foundation (SSIF), has announced today during the ENS(European Neurological Society)Congress, which is being held in Prague from June 9th to June 12th, the winner of the SSIF 2012 award in neurology. The winner, chosen among all the evaluations and upon the documentation provided by the candidate, isProfessor Massimo Filippi, Director Neuroimaging Research Unit, Department of Neuroscience, Scientific Institute and University Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan (Italy) and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Neurology.

SSIF in partnership with the ENS, announced in 2011 a public competition for an award to recognise an expert in Bioscence who has made a significant contribution to Medical Education Activities.

The ideal candidate to take part in the competition plays a major role in spreading science in the future and has made outstanding contributions to medical education in the field of neurology. The SSIF Award Committee - to whom some of the most worldwide prestigious experts in bioscience belong - assessed the applications and drew up the shortlist of candidates.
