IRVINE, Calif., June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Orange County Great Park will present the free Movie on the Lawn showing of the action-packed blockbuster hit Captain America: The First Avenger on Saturday, June 16. A brave, yet mild-mannered young soldier, Steve Rogers, volunteers to undergo a series of experiments for a U.S. Army Super Soldier program and becomes a human weapon. When a Nazi plot is revealed, Rogers must rise up and become Captain America in order to save his country. The movie also serves as a prequel to this summer's record-breaking hit The Avengers.
This PG-Rated film stars Chris Evans, Stanley Tucci and Tommy Lee Jones. The movie begins at dusk. Warm clothing is recommended.
Admission and parking are free, and visitors are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets. You may bring snacks or purchase tasty treats from the onsite gourmet food trucks, "Barcelona on the Go" and "Vintage Longboards Ice Cream," for this family-friendly outdoor movie experience under the stars.
The outdoor movie experience continues with Hop on June 23 and Kung Fu Panda 2 on June 30. All movies begin at dusk, weather permitting, on the Terraced Lawn.
