Agreement will streamline the licensing process for media monitoring databases
Critical Mention, Inc. has been named the exclusive licensor of Bloomberg TV and Bloomberg Radio content for third-party media monitoring, the company announced today.
The agreement makes tens of thousands of hours of live and archived Bloomberg audio and video news content from the Americas, Asia and Europe available to media monitoring platforms. In addition to full visibility into distribution, standardized terms of usage and a redistributor approval process are also part of the structure created by Bloomberg and Critical Mention.
"Critical Media's global TV capture and indexing infrastructure uniquely positions us to partner with content owners seeking a turn-key solution for the licensing and distribution of their owned content to business-to-business third party applications," said Critical Media founder and CEO Sean Morgan. "Bloomberg has been a partner for many years, and we are excited to work with them to expand their broadcast syndication footprint in the media monitoring industry."
To facilitate licensing of Bloomberg TV and radio programming to other third party media monitoring platforms through the Critical Mention API, Critical Mention has established an online inquiry process and dedicated service function: content@criticalmention.com
"We are pleased to take this next step in our partnership with Critical Mention," said Susan Vobejda, general manager of Bloomberg Media Licensing and Distribution. "Critical Mention provides a leading solution for companies around the world to follow their broadcast coverage on Bloomberg's leading business and financial news networks."
