In order to provide members with the opportunity to test their applications in case of technical problems on the exchange side, the following scenarios will be provided in the Xetra 12.0 Simulation environment (Xetra Frankfurt) on Wednesday June 20, 2012: 1. Matching engine crash / failover: Wednesday June 20, 2012: 16:00 CEST First matching engine crashes in simulation, affected instruments VOW, DPW, IFX, BAS, ALV, 63DA, EOAA and RWEA. For ISE members: BIR. Wednesday June 20, 2012: 16:30 CEST Second matching engine crashes in simulation, affected instruments DBK, DAI, CBK, BMWA, DPWA, FMEA and SAPA. For ISE members: DOY. After the crash of the respective matching engine, another matching engine will take over (failover) the processing of all instruments that were served by the crashed matching engine. In this scenario non-persistent orders and quotes for the set of instruments involved will be removed from the Xetra order book. A Market Reset Event will be triggered, whereby only persistent orders are restored in the order book. 2. Host crash / failover: Wednesday June 20, 2012: 17:00 CEST At 17:00 CEST the simulation host will be shut down. The other host will take over. In this scenario non-persistent orders and quotes will be removed from the Xetra order book. A Market Reset Event will be triggered, whereby only persistent orders are restored in the order book.
