(OTC-PINK: RMYI), a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of starters, alternators, and hybrid electric traction motors and generators, announced today that motorcycles powered by their patented HVH 250 electric motor placed first and third at the 2012 Isle of Man TT Zero Race.
Michael Rutter became the first rider to complete the 37-mile mountain course at more than 100mph. Rutter, riding a zero emission MotoCzysz machine, generated an average speed of more than 104mph and claimed the government sponsored prize of 10,000 pounds Sterling (GBP) to the first entry to surpass the 100 mph average speed barrier. Second place went to John McGuinness, riding the Mugen entry. Third place finisher Mark Miller also broke the 100mph milestone.
The Remy and MotoCzysz relationship has resulted in the development of one of the most highly efficient and powerful electric drivetrains available for motorcycles and currently lead the world in electric motorcycle racing.
