As CEO of Prometheus Global Media, Mattison will oversee management of the company and its media properties. She replaces Richard Beckman, whose departure was announced Friday. She will continue to work in close coordination with Prometheus Chairman James Finkelstein.

"Prometheus has strong brands, broad audiences and partners, and the ability to deliver engaging and compelling content," said Mattison. "Our team is poised to take advantage of the opportunities in the changing global media landscape. We've already created new lines of business like the Adweek Young Executive Lab conference series, the Billboard Summer Beats Concert series and the mobile apps for The Hollywood Reporter. I look forward to leading the team to delivering even more excellence across the board."

As Senior Managing Director of Guggenheim Partners, a financial services firm with $160 billion in assets under management, Mattison has been responsible for driving growth at the brand and consumer companies in the Guggenheim portfolio. Since joining Guggenheim in late 2010, she has been actively engaged in the management of Prometheus and its properties.

Prior to Guggenheim Partners, Mattison was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Apparel Global Merchandising Center of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where she oversaw the company's portfolio of private apparel brands and was responsible for cross-category entertainment merchandising programs. She also held posts as Vice President and Chief Merchant for Walmart.com, as well as head of the company's Sustainability Textiles Network initiative.

"Dottie's brand management and executive leadership experience are the perfect combination to lead Prometheus and its rich portfolio of music, media and entertainment businesses," said Todd Boehly, President of Guggenheim Partners. "We are confident that she will steward the brands, attract the best talent in the industry, and build for quality and longevity."

Mattison has appointed Jeffrey Wilbur as Chief Financial Officer of Prometheus. Wilbur's previous financial roles include Kayne Anderson Mezzanine Partners and Guggenheim Partners Investment Management, where he managed investments in the Guggenheim portfolio. Mattison has also announced the promotion of Dana Miller to Senior Vice President of Branded Entertainment and Integrated Marketing, where she will continue to lead the efforts around the Billboard Music Awards. The Billboard Music Awards was successfully relaunched in 2011 on ABC with Miller as producer.

Prometheus Chairman James Finkelstein commented, "I have worked closely with Dottie over the last year and cannot imagine a better CEO for Prometheus. She not only has a tremendous business background and extraordinary leadership qualities, but she also brings a deep understanding of media. I am thrilled she has accepted the position and look forward to working with her as a colleague and friend."
