DAYTONA, Fla., July 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Racing legend Bill Elliott will help Walmart celebrate its 50th anniversary behind the wheel of the Walmart No. 50 Chevrolet and in appearances with fans at Daytona Area Walmart stores. Elliott, who was voted NASCAR's Most Popular Driver 16 times and is one of NASCAR's Top 50 Drivers of all time, will be among drivers attempting to qualify for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona.

Additionally, select Walmart stores will offer authentic NASCAR merchandise, driver appearances and host exclusive fan events starting July 2. Customers are invited to attend these special events and enjoy real show cars, special appearances by Bill Elliott and Eric McClure, and racing simulators July 2-6 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on the location.
