(NYSE: FE) employees, contractors and outside utility crew members continue working around-the-clock to restore power to approximately 34,200 Mon Power customers in West Virginia who remain without power as a result of recent severe storms that hit the region.
Overall, more than 320,000 customers of FirstEnergy's Mon Power and Potomac Edison utilities in West Virginia lost power following devastating wind and thunderstorms that moved through the area last weekend.
Customers are reminded to turn off and unplug major appliances to prevent damage and possible overloads to the company's system when power is restored.
