In this current climate, this achievement is often overlooked. Charter advocates now say it is time for their voice to be heard. The Board of Education has indicated it will not adhere to an earlier promise to approve a new budget on Wednesday that includes more equitable funding for charter public schools.A press conference has been set to articulate the charter community's concerns about the current CPS budget debate and to provide facts about charter funding and performance.
