VALPARAISO, Ind., July 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Dickey's Barbecue welcomes new franchise owner Gary Midkiff to the team. Midkiff just signed a lease for his new location in Valparaiso and is excited to begin construction.

Prior to owning a Dickey's, Midkiff spent four years in the Air Force and retired in 1999 after twenty five years as a Police Officer for Lake County, Indiana. After retiring Midkiff worked as the Systems Administrator for the Lake County Sheriff's Department and for the last five years he has been working as a security officer at Munster Community Hospital. Midkiff lives with his wife Linda in the Hobart area.
