Make A Hero To Premiere Inspirational Commercial During Olympics For 'The Movement'

BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The non-profit organization, Make A Hero, is proud to debut an inspiring television commercial for the award-winning documentary film, "The Movement," during the Olympic Games on NBC. The commercial will premiere on Thursday, August 9, 2012 and again on Saturday, August 11 during the primetime Olympic broadcast.

A documentary film about people who have overcome physical disabilities to discover the freedom of mobility, "The Movement," is directed and produced by Kurt Miller. Narrated by Academy Award® winning actor, Robert Redford, and ski film legend, Warren Miller, "The Movement" chronicles Rick Finkelstein returning to the mountain where his life was changed forever. It is a story about finding the turning point when physical disability is no longer a limitation, but has become a part of one's character.

"Our movement started with the word never. 'You'll never walk again ...You'll never see ...You'll never live to the age of five.' Never? Our heroes refused to accept that word," says Robert Redford in the documentary.

Proceeds from "The Movement" screenings go to the non-profit organization, Make A Hero, whose mission is to grow awareness and generate financial support for individuals with disabilities. It inspires people with disabilities to "get fully engaged in the game of life", build their confidence and help them regain their mobility and freedom through participation in sports and recreation.
