TeamHealth Acquires Delphi Healthcare Partners

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --TeamHealth Holdings Inc. (NYSE: TMH) today announced the acquisition of the operations of Delphi Healthcare Partners ("Delphi") and its related entities. Based in Morrisville, North Carolina, Delphi is an innovative resource for specialty hospitalist programs in Orthopedics, General Surgery and OB/GYN. These programs offer Emergency Department call coverage and provide client hospitals with 24/7 in-house specialty coverage, enabling them to increase market share by reducing the need to transfer patients to other facilities for these needed services. Delphi currently holds 42 programs in 19 states, and the existing management team will continue to serve their current hospital clients from the Morrisville corporate office.
