Joshua and Matthew Baran Appointed to EXTOL International's Executive Team

POTTSVILLE, Pa., Aug.29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --EXTOL International, a leading provider of business integration software and services, today announced the additions of Joshua and Matthew Baran to its executive leadership team as its new Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer respectively. In their new roles, Joshua will oversee the company's product research and development, while Matthew will manage its sales, product development and services departments.

In joining EXTOL's executive team, Joshua and Matthew Baran become the latest members of the company's founding family to assume leadership roles within the business. Joshua's father, Joseph Baran, partnered with Matthew's father, Tony Baran, to found the B2B integration software company in 1989. Tony Baran continues to serve as EXTOL's president and CEO, while Joseph Baran served as the company's most recent CTO until his passing in August 2011.

"Joshua and Matthew have demonstrated they are ready to handle greater responsibility within the company, and play critical roles working with our executive team to shape the future of EXTOL," said Tony Baran. "We are confident that each of them can extend both EXTOL's and the Baran family's legacy of developing high-performing, innovative products supported by unparalleled service."

Joshua and Matthew both transition to their new positions with more than two decades of combined experience in programming and customer services roles within EXTOL.

Joshua Baran joined the company's software development team part-time in 1997, and became a full-time programmer in 2000. During his tenure, he has written a significant portion of both the operation code and user interface for EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI) 2, the company's flagship product, and is currently writing updates to the EBI 3 interface.

Before becoming the company's COO, Matthew Baran served as EXTOL's director of managed services for more than three years. In this position, Matthew and his team managed relationships, technical implementations and updates for customers relying on EXTOL's managed services technologies for data storage and transaction management.
