Cash Awards Now Available to Top Performing Social Services Professionals

BALTIMORE, Sept. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --The Superstar Foundation, an organization that seeks to award social services professionals great pay for great work, announced today that it is accepting applications for the 2012 Veronica Awards. These $5,000 awards are given to direct service staff who demonstrate outstanding performance in promoting transformational relationships with the participants they serve. "We believe that through recognizing the best in the field, we will create more awareness of what it takes to be an effective direct service worker. We want to build an army of social superstars," said Steve Butz, founder of the Superstar Foundation.

The Superstar Foundation is the first organization exclusively dedicated to recognizing and rewarding the highest-performing human service professionals in America. The Foundation awards grants to outstanding direct service professionals who have demonstrably and consistently improved the lives of their clients through the development of transformational relationships - and have the stories and data to prove it. Steve's first-hand experience doing case management informs the Foundation's vision and commitment to the community of practice, and drives his daily work as Founder and CEO of Social Solutions - the creators of Efforts to Outcomes (ETO') software and leading providers of performance management solutions to the human service sector.

"How many direct service workers are still plying their trade, working as hard as humanly possible, and yet still have no access to the metrics they need to give them a sense of their effectiveness? This is unbelievably critical, both in helping direct service professionals understand the quality of their hard work and in enabling the organizations they work for to reward workers for their merits! I congratulate those in the non profit sector who have undertaken this responsibility and send a nudge to those that haven't."

The Veronica Awards were first launched in 2008. Last year, more than 200 applications were submitted and four winners were selected. These submissions were evaluated by evidence such as letters of recommendation and staff performance data. Due to the increasing quality of supporting evidence in the 2011 applicant pool, the staff performance data submission will account for exactly half of an applicant's final score in the 2012 Veronica Awards competition.

Only direct service staff at 501c3 organizations who directly serve program participants are eligible for Veronica Awards. You can nominate a colleague, employee or yourself for a Veronica award at the Superstar Foundation's website: http://www.superstarfoundation.org/Application/Start Applications will not be accepted after November 21, 2012.

Favoritenwechsel
