British Singing Duo Jonathan and Charlotte to Release Their Debut Album, Together, on October 30, 2012

NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Syco/Columbia Records are pleased to announce that the first album from Jonathan and Charlotte, the "Britain's Got Talent" singing duo whose talent and loyal friendship brought their country to its feet, will be released in the United States on October 30.

The album, Together, will feature the two songs they sang during the televised competition last May: "The Prayer," originally sung by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, and "Caruso," the heartbreaking love song that became a trademark of the late superstar tenor Luciano Pavarotti. The album will include the stunning hits,"Ave Maria" and "Canto Della Terra." Jonathan and Charlotte also fearlessly take on iconic pop songs including Take That's "Rule The World" and Muse's "Unintended" giving them a new identity.

Jonathan Antoine, 17, sings with the rich tenor of a world-class opera star; in fact, his fans have already dubbed him "the British Pavarotti." He and his singing partner - and close friend - Charlotte Jaconelli, 16, were originally paired a few years ago by their music teacher, who thought their voices would complement each other. She was so impressed by the pair she requested that they sing at her wedding and at her suggestion, they sang "The Prayer" for their music class final (they got an "A").

The teens did not win the 2012 "Britain's Got Talent" competition - they lost to a dog act, a controversy that still inflames music lovers all over the U.K. Wrote the critic for the Huffington Post U.K.: "Jonathan and Charlotte, the bookies' favorite to win the contest, could quite easily have taken the top prize if it wasn't for the nation's fondness for cute dogs ... [At the final] They gave another incredible performance that I could happily watch again and again." In fact, there are dozens of YouTube postings of their BGT appearances which when combined have gotten over 29 million views.

Discussing the album Jonathan said, "We are so excited to be releasing our first album. It has been a great experience being able to get into the recording studio and I can't wait for people to be able to hear our music."

Charlotte added, "It really has been an amazing experience and I can't still believe that we have our first album coming out in October. It's been a whirlwind experience but Jonathan and I are immensely proud of this album. I hope our fans enjoy the album."

Jonathan and Charlotte's album is being produced by Graham Stack, who has worked with stars like Kylie Minogue, Tina Turner, LeAnn Rimes, Take That, Natalie Cole and Rod Stewart.

Favoritenwechsel
