LexisNexis Signs with TVEyes for TV and Radio Search

FAIRFIELD, Conn. and NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --LexisNexis® Business Information Solutions (www.lexisnexis.com), a leading global provider of content and technology solutions, and TVEyes, the search engine for TV and radio, today announced a multi-year agreement for TVEyes to provide a consolidated feed of indexed television and radio content.

"We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive collection of news and business sources for our customers from leading suppliers around the globe," said Paul Al-Nakaash, Head of Content for LexisNexis Business Information Solutions. "Partnering with TVEyes enables us to offer access to a selection of broadcast licensed TV and radio news content."

The first content to be provided by TVEyes under the agreement is from the United Kingdom: BBC TV and radio and Independent Television News (ITN) will be made available to subscribers who will use keyword search to find and play clips that mention words or phrases of interest.

"To assure continued relevancy and profitability, television and radio content owners need to fully exploit opportunities from cloud-based services," said David Ives, chief executive officer of TVEyes, Inc. "Business, government and political users want real-time notification and historical search of broadcast content, and they're willing to pay a premium for it. For broadcast content owners to efficiently monetize their investments they need distribution and fee-collecting platforms and partners like TVEyes and LexisNexis."

TVEyes is exhibiting at the PRSA 2012 International Conference, Oct. 13-16, in San Francisco, Booth #8.
