Wolters Kluwer NV: Madeleine Albright Event to Kick off 25th Anniversary e-Book for the John Adams Institute, Produced in Partnership with Wolters Kluwer

Alphen aan den Rijn (November 26, 2012) - Wolters Kluwer has partnered with the John Adams Institute (http://www.john-adams.nl/index.html) to offer its expertise in software solutions and information-enabled tools in support of the Amsterdam-based cultural institution. The e-book is being announced tonight at an event featuring former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madeleine_Albright). It commemorates the 25th year anniversary of the John Adams Institute, and is a collection of excerpts, short stories, and video clips from 25 prominent authors and public figures who have spoken at John Adams Institute events.

Authors include Madeleine Albright, Nobel (http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/) and Pulizer Prize (http://www.pulitzer.org/) winner Toni Morrison (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toni_Morrison), authors Jonathan Franzen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Franzen) and Susan Sontag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Sontag), and American civil rights activist Jesse Jackson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Jackson), among others. The special digital edition will be given as a gift to supporters of the John Adams Institute.

"The John Adams Institute has brought hundreds of prominent American speakers to the Netherlands to present their work to Dutch audiences, including some of the major figures of our time. The e-book celebrating our 25th anniversary brings together works by many of these figures, both in text and in video form. We wanted to use new technology to celebrate the past, and Wolters Kluwer, with its vast expertise, helped us to achieve our goal," shared Russell Shorto (http://www.russellshorto.com/), director of the John Adams Institute.

The John Adams Institute was established in 1987 as an independent institution to promote cultural exchange between the United States of America and the Netherlands. Wolters Kluwer has been a corporate sponsor of this organization since 2005 as a part of its drive to support local organizations and promote sustainable growth (http://reports.wolterskluwer.com/2011/sr/servicepages/welcome.html) by providing high-quality information-enabled tools and software solutions that improve the quality of work and the quality of life for the communities where it does business.
