Mountain Cleantech AG: Mountain Cleantech Fund II invests in Geppert GmbH, one of the leading producers of electromechanical equipment for small hydro power plants

Zurich, 5th February 2013 - Mountain Cleantech Fund II (MCF II) has 
completed an investment in a leading Austria-based provider of complete 
small hydroelectric power plants, Geppert GmbH. The firm, which is 
headquartered in Hall in Tirol, Austria, was founded in 1896 and is now in 
its fourth generation of family ownership. Being one of the longest 
established players in its industry, Geppert can look back on a global 
reference list of more than 3,000 small hydro projects. The company has 
developed a market reputation for superior product quality, solid 
craftsmanship and constant product innovation. 
 
Over the last years, the company has systematically internationalized its 
activities and is now looking to significantly increase its production 
capacity. Mountain Cleantech has led a syndicate including Austria 
Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (aws), various banks and others, to provide more 
than EUR 15m in equity and debt growth financing for a new 10,000 square 
meter manufacturing and office facility as well as for cutting edge 
production machinery. The financing will also allow Geppert GmbH to 
continue its rapid international growth. 
 
Mountain Cleantech Founder and Managing Partner - Jürgen F. Habichler - has 
joined Geppert's board to support the company's continued growth. He 
commented: 'Geppert's impressive reference list and reputation for flawless 
execution and product quality will enable the company to exploit the 
significant growth potential in the global small hydro market, particularly 
in Turkey, Emerging countries in the Balkan region, Latin America and 
South-East Asia.'
